Free Show: Shark Alley Hobos & Friends Tribute to Mikie Lee Prasad

Sat, Jan 20 - 12:00 pm

The Shark Alley Hobos have been entertaining Bay Area audiences

with songs of the sea for years. Their raucous St. Patrick’s Day gigs

have become as legendary as their outlandish birthday party

my Heart”. “Harpoon, a Knife, a Gun” remenbers the mechanical

shark that just wanted to be a real fish. “She Was the First” is a funky

take on a Great White’s infatuation and hunger. The terror instilled in

kids lives in the seemingly innocent “Marco Polo”. Everyone has a

say in the fatalistic ballad “Just What I Do.” As added bonuses, the

“Downtown/Spanish Ladies Medley” brings back memories of Jaws 2

and Robert Shaw, while “Show Me The Way to Go Home” recreates

the sing-a-long made famous by the movie and infamous by the

Shark Alley Hobos. Finally, as a bizarre ending only the Hobos would

dream up, “Ode to a Celluloid Masterpiece” not only pays tribute to

Jaws, but to Ernie Kovacs’ beloved cult ch
